Do Minimalist: Hydration
12:02 PM"Water is the driving force of all nature" ~ Leonardo da Vinci
Our body is composed of 80 percent water and this element is the basis of any existence. The fact that any living things can survive for days with just water. We take advantage of this basic necessity when we have abundance of it. Ok, enough about the introduction of water, we all know the importance of this element.
So diving in to my thoughts, not enough hydration was one of the bad habit of my many bad habits that was hard to break. It started out rough when I started to wean myself away from flavored and sugary forms of drinks but then my taste buds started to adopt to plain raw h2o. For sometime now, I've been good, not consistent, at drinking atleast one-gallon a day or at minimum, 50-percent of my body weight in ounces (160lbs = 80oz of h2o). Our body tends to hold water if we don't drink plenty of it. Drinking h2o prevents water retention, prevents dehydration, and helps in body cell recovery from training.
Let's not jump to conclusion here that I gave up all other types of drinks, I'm still a lifelong patron to craft beer, craft coffee, tea, and a good ole whiskey...
